Cross Country at Bohill Mountain – 10th March 2012
The club will be holding the forth of our ‘Winter 2011/2012′ Cross Country events on Saturday 10th March 2012 at Bohill Mountain, Tannaghmore Road, Ballynahinch, BT24 8NT.

There will be awards for the Top 3 in each class, Clubmen and Experts on the day.
Day licences will be available on the day for this event at a charge of £10. This is a new regulation being brought in by MRA (Ireland) for 2012 season. Therefore the club has to apply this to all our events. This will be the regulation across the board and is not a profit making exercise by Mourne MCC Ltd.
Crossgar Cross Country Review 2012
The Mourne Motorcycle Club held their first cross-country motocross event of 2012 in Crossgar on Saturday, January 7.
The event was a fun-day, rather than a race, and the 81 competitors had the chance to ride for two hours on the track which was almost one and a half miles long.
This is the third year that the Mourne club has held a cross-country event at the start of the New Year. In 2010 the riders had to deal with riding through snow and in 2011 frost had left the ground frozen for the event. But in 2012 with heavy rain leading up to the event riders, such as Killinchy man Adrian Lappin, Crossgar’s James Cuffey, Saintfield’s Tom Lecky and Alan Campbell from Downpatrick, were treated to a slippery track which was to cut up heavily in places.
Thanks must also go to Bells Crossgar for the use of the forecourt on the Saintfield Road for parking vehicles.

Prize Giving & Buffet – 18th February 2012
Mourne Motorcycle Club are again holding our very successful club prize giving and buffet at the Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahinch, on Saturday 18th February 2012 at 7.30pm ’til late.
Cups will be presented to the prize winners from events run in the past year. Also presented on the night will be the Seaforde Motocross Park Cup and the Norman Campbell Memorial Cup. (All prize winners will be notified by post)
Tickets are priced at a very reasonable £17.50 each. This is for a three choice hot-food buffet and an evenings entertainment provided by a local comedian. Music by local DJ to suit all ages.
Anyone who attended last year, will know how good an evening it was, and all new faces will be made very welcome.

For safety reasons we need to split riders into two groups for this event.
This will be done by the order entries were received (fully paid) in one group and late entries/expert riders in another group.
